Team USA is complete

The US team for the 2026 Swiss Cup Zurich has been finalised: Lila Richardson and Tatum Drusch complete the line-up alongside Yul Moldauer and Joshua Karnes. Ahead of their performance at the Hallenstadion, the two gymnasts will also be competing at the Arthur Gander Memorial.

With Lila Richardson and Tatum Drusch, the US quartet for the Swiss Cup Zurich is now complete. The two gymnasts are already travelling to Switzerland for the Arthur Gander Memorial and will subsequently also compete at the Swiss Cup Zurich. On 7 November 2026, five teams of four – each comprising two women and two men – will compete for victory at the Hallenstadion. New mode

In the men’s competition, Team USA is counting on Yul Moldauer and Joshua Karnes. Moldauer is no stranger to Zurich: in 2023, the 30-year-old won the Swiss Cup Zurich alongside Jade Carey, thereby defending his title from the previous year. The gymnast, who has competed at both the Olympics and the World Championships, is currently training as part of the University of Oklahoma programme. Joshua Karnes is a member of EVO Gymnastics. The 22-year-old won bronze on the parallel bars at the Winter Cup in 2026.

This means the full US team for Zurich has now been confirmed: Lila Richardson, Tatum Drusch, Yul Moldauer and Joshua Karnes.

What does it mean to you to compete at the Swiss Cup Zurich?
It will be a great international experience, especially for the newer routines I am competing. It’s another step in my journey to the LA 28 Olympics.
What is the craziest thing that has ever happened to you at a competition?
Not too crazy, but at a Penn State comp, our whole line-up, including me, all stuck our P-Bar dismounts and it was just such a good feeling.
What motivates you on difficult training days?
My main goal is to make it to the Olympics and win, so every practice counts. I always have that in my head. Every practice, good or bad, you can learn something, and that will help me reach my goals.
If the audience should remember one thing about you, what would it be?
I have an exciting High-Bar routine and I have really red hair.
What do you enjoy doing most when you are not in the gym?
I love either going to the pool or beach, playing Ping Pong, video games, hanging out with friends, hacky sack, and sleeping.
Which moment in your career still brings a smile to your face today?
We had NCAA Championships at Penn State, and on day 1 I stuck my last 3 events, and then I scored the highest I ever scored on P-Bars. It was so fun.
Which defeat or disappointment ultimately helped you grow the most?
Honestly, this last US Championships. I didn’t do how I wanted to do, I didn’t make Worlds, and it’s pushing me to clean up all my events.
Do you have a pre-competition ritual or a lucky charm?
I always eat Italian food the night before the comp. I also visualize all my routines the night before and the day of. And I listen to a specific song before I compete.
What would your teammates describe as typical of you?
Roll with the punches. Talented, crazy in a good way. Unbothered.
