China is travelling to Zurich with a promising quartet

Xinyi Qin and Zhuofan Tian will compete for China in the women’s event, whilst Yangyu Zhang and Chenyi Xie will represent the country in the men’s event.

Zhuofan Tian already has experience of international competitions. In 2026, she competed at the World Cup in Osijek and the American Cup, amongst other events. At the American Cup, she scored 14.450 points on the uneven bars.

Xinyi Qin made a name for herself in 2026, particularly at the Chinese Championships. In the all-around final, she finished fifth with 53.099 points.

Two strong all-rounders in the men’s competition

Yangyu Zhang demonstrated his versatility at the 2026 Chinese Championships. He finished fifth in the all-round final and fourth in the floor exercise final.

Chenyi Xie also gained international experience in 2026. At the American Cup, he competed for China on the parallel bars and high bar. At national level, he was also part of the victorious Zhejiang team in the mixed team competition at the Chinese Championships, contributing 14.166 points on the parallel bars in the final.

With Xinyi Qin, Zhuofan Tian, Yangyu Zhang and Chenyi Xie, China is thus sending four athletes to Zurich who have already gained competitive experience on both the national and international stages.

All five teams have been confirmed

With Switzerland, Germany, France, the USA and China, all five national teams for the 2026 Swiss Cup Zurich have now been confirmed. Well-known names, up-and-coming athletes and a variety of gymnastics styles promise a top-class competition at the Hallenstadion.
